Our 2021 Work Wellbeing Index uncovered the pivotal role that Managers play in their organisations wellbeing levels. In fact, employees who believe they have a supportive manager have a wellbeing score that is on average 17% higher than employees who do not believe they have a supportive manager.

We have chosen to deep-dive into this topic and highlight the gap between the importance of employee’s feeling they have a supportive manager, versus how many feel they are offered this. Our report asks:

  • How can managers impact organisational wellbeing and how do organisation’s support them to make this happen?
  • Which groups require a supportive manager most? How do we support these people?
  • How can managers show genuine care to their team to life overall wellbeing?
