Michelle Ruddenklau is a Senior Consultant at Skills Consulting Group, bringing over 13 years’ experience of working within the tertiary education sector, designing and developing vocational education and workforce development solutions. She offers a unique breadth of experience, having developed high-level strategy for TVET policy, alongside creating frameworks that support skills and workforce development. As an experienced practitioner in the development of national occupational standards and programmes of industry training, learning development and assessment, Michelle has deep knowledge of quality assurance and evaluation processes to strengthen the outcomes of vocational education systems.

Across Michelle’s background, she has worked closely with tertiary training providers from universities, polytechnics and private training establishments, designing and improving multi-modal, vocational education qualifications and programmes. These solutions have delivered tangible, practical results for organisations and their learners across multiple industries including health, education and service sectors. She has led projects including the creation and launch of a City and Guilds site accreditation, NZQA external evaluation and review, and development and implementation of a blended, national, agribusiness management programme.

With an extensive background in teaching, Michelle is an experienced and engaging facilitator, presenting workshops and learning programmes across the public and private sector. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Management (Distinction) in education management, is studying towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and has a National Certificate in teaching and learning.
