Te Ahu has over 15 years’ experience in education in a variety of leadership roles and has always had a passion for coaching and empowering others on their journey, whether it be in the classroom, in the boardroom, working with corporate and public sector clients or on the sports field. Supporting the growth and development of individuals and teams through a holistic approach, Te Ahu is motivated to help drive a collaborative, supportive, safe and inclusive environment for all.

Coming from a large close-knit whanau/family and with ties to multiple iwi, relationships have always been at the forefront of any type of connection or engagement for Te Ahu. He is passionate about building strong foundations for meaningful, collaborative and long-lasting relationships, taking others along on the journey with him. Te Ahu has been involved as a trustee of his marae/uri for some time and is also on his Iwi Board. He has developed his governance knowledge through these positions and is currently undertaking the Sirdar Applied Directorship programme for board governance.  

With significant involvement in sport from a young age, including in a coaching capacity, Te Ahu has always brought a strong focus to building an exceptional team culture, motivating and empowering others, while creating a compelling shared vision and purpose.  

A life-long learner, Te Ahu is all about his own personal and professional development, aiming to make a positive impact on others. Strategically minded and solution focused, Te Ahu thrives on challenges and opportunities to extend his learning and share it with others.
