With over 16 years of experience in New Zealand’s Tertiary Education Vocational Training sector (TVET), Manu is a highly experienced senior manager. ​

Her many roles have allowed her to develop strong relationships across the TVET sector, especially within relevant government entities. Areas she’s worked across include: strategy ; operations ; finance ; system design and business improvement ; recruitment; training and development.

Manu has considerable experience in leading and empowering staff. She meets challenges with analysis and creative problem-solving skills, and relishes applying her capabilities to educating and empowering young people – especially Maori and Pasifika.

Outside of work she sits on the executive board of the New Zealand Samoa Trade and Invest Commission, and volunteers as a mentor to youth leaders for the New Zealand Methodist – Samoan Sinoti (Manukau itumalo).

Through this volunteer work and her work at Skills Consulting Group, Manu hopes to lift education results for Pacific communities, leading to meaningful employment; make aspirational education opportunities and outcomes within reach of every Pacific learner; and promote learning that’s relevant to the lives of Pacific communities every day and throughout their lives. ​ ​
