With almost 30 years of experience across the vocational education sector, Kharen Hope has a wealth of knowledge in developing standards and qualifications and played a leadership role for Skills in response to the current changes to vocational education in New Zealand.

Throughout her years spent in the sector, Kharen has become a well-respected leader in the vocational education space. Kharen has strong knowledge of the NZQA framework and its application to meet specific needs. She has invaluable experience in facilitating groups to reach agreement and finding pathways to address conflicting needs, and process design for the implementation of training. She is also highly skilled and respected in developing and reviewing qualifications, standards, support policies and processes.

Among her key successes, Kharen was a key part of the project team developing an Industrial Electricians qualification in region al Canada. She has also developed and implemented the vocational education framework for Financial Services in New Zealand and developed flexible qualification pathways for a range of industries.
