Championing learning design solutions and digital credentials

Stuart brings a wealth of international experience as a Learning Design Specialist for Skills Consulting Group, developing assessment and moderation designs, qualifications and quality assurance projects, leading all phases from policy development through to implementation. Having worked for globally recognised institutions in the United Kingdom, and now leading a team of Learning Design and Quality Assurance Consultants at Skills Consulting Group, based in New Zealand, Stuart has deep expertise in the development of vocational education solutions.

With extensive experience leading these initiatives across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, he works closely with clients, industry stakeholders and government to create real-world solutions and strategies that improve industry capability and meet the needs of the market. His contribution to the industry has been recognised by the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), where he is a New Zealand representative, developing global educational strategies with a view to improving engagement in education and increasing access to education for women, indigenous and disadvantaged people. Stuart has also championed the development of digital and micro-credentials, designing the policy and developing an innovative vocational solution to build industry capability.

Stuart completed a Master of Arts in media studies through Victoria University of Wellington after his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in international relations. He is passionate about vocational education and individual development and has utilised his experience and education to design new assessment principals, quality assurance standards and micro-credential solutions that are innovative, world class and deliver value.
